Zebrahead (one of my favorite bands) uses ColdFusion for their shopping cart. It also appears that they use Flash/Dreamweaver for the rest of their website.

Installing ColdFusion 8 on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn

This is how I install ColdFusion 8 on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn.

Download the ColdFusion install files from

http://www.adobe.com/go/trycoldfusion

Make sure your “Coldfusion-8-lin.bin” is executable

Right click on it
Click “Properties”
Click “Permissions” Tab
Click The “Execute” check box
Click “Close”

Open a terminal window
type “sudu -i”
Change directory to where your “Coldfusion-8-lin.bin” is located
type “./Coldfusion-8-lin.bin” (you probably need the “./”)
Choose “1″ for [...]

Installing Freemind on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn

This is how I install & start Freemind (Mind Mapping Software) on Ubuntu

open a terminal window and type

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Add the three following lines (yes the space before the experimental should be there)

##Freemind Repository
deb http://eric.lavar.de/comp/linux/debian/ experimental/
deb-src http://eric.lavar.de/comp/linux/debian/ experimental/

Save the file and exit
Open a terminal window and type (or use synaptic)

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get update

Running Gaim at Start Up

This is how I got Gaim to start automatically when i login to Ubuntu Feisty Fawn

Go to System->Preferences->Sessions
Click the “Startup Programs” Tab
Click the “New” button
Add “gaim” to the “name” and “command” fields
Click “OK”

Gaim should start by default next time you login.
This should actually work for any application you would like to run at startup. [...]
