How to Install Fonts in Ubuntu 8.04

May 10th, 2008

The way to install fonts in Ubuntu 8.04 has changed a little, and in my option it is a bit easier.

  • open the “.fonts” folder in your home directory
    • You probably have to create it first
    • make sure you can view hidden files
  • copy your font files to this folder
  • next time you open your application, the fonts should be available
